I could not have loved this book any more that I do right at this moment. It was beautifully charted, masterfully written, and full of epigram-esque sentences that will stay with me for time to come. Haig has written a novel that jumps in time, yet always feels present, and kept me invested in Tom’s journey throughout his hundreds of years of life. I can only say that I wish this novel was twice as long; I yearned to hear more about his adventures with Omai, his time in Shakespearean England and dalliances at famed piano bars.
I cannot recommend this novel highly enough. I can’t wait to share it with all my close friends and family, the highest honor I can bestow to a book.
I received this book as part of a Goodreads Giveaway.
